This breed was originally developed in England in the late 1700s. It is a popular in all major pork producing countries around the world.

They are rugged and hardy breed, capable of withstanding a wide range of climatic conditions. Late-maturing but are high performing maternal lines, with large litter sizesand heavy milk production.

Ideal for commercial cross-breeding (especially with landrace) and producing high-quality lean meat that meets modern consumer demands.
